Ludo's Quest is published by Martin Drapeau / Activite Messager Inc. This policy covers the Ludo's Quest app for iPhone, iPad and Mac and the ludosquest.com website.
Ludo's Quest is free. It has no ads, no in-app purchases and no accounts. The app does not collect any personal information, and it has no analytics or tracking of any kind. It contains no third-party SDKs. The only thing it ever sends to us is a level you choose to share, as explained below.
Your progress (completed levels, coins, times), the levels you build and your settings (language, music and sound) are stored on your device. If you use iCloud, your progress is also synced between your devices through your own iCloud account, using Apple's iCloud key-value storage. That data stays in your iCloud account: we cannot see it. Deleting the app removes the data on that device; you can remove the iCloud copy from your iCloud settings.
Nothing is shared unless you tap Share on a level you built. When you do, the app sends the level to ludosquest.com: its name and layout, a picture of it (the share card, which shows the level, its name, its link and a QR code), and the language the app is set to. Our server also records when the level was shared and the IP address it came from. We use the IP address only to limit how many levels can be shared from one address and to stop abuse; it is never shown to anyone. Sharing does not ask for, or send, your name, email or any account.
The server gives the level a short link, such as ludosquest.com/l/My_Level-Ab12Cd34. Anyone who has the link can see the level's name and picture on its web page and open the level in the game, and the picture is shown as the link's preview in messaging apps and social networks. Level pages are not listed on our website and ask search engines not to index them, but anyone who receives a link can pass it on. Sharing the same level again gives the same link.
If the app cannot reach our server, it shares a self-contained link instead. The level is stored in the part of that link after the "#", which browsers never send to our server; when such a link is opened, only the level's name and language in the link reach us.
Shared levels stay online until they are removed. To have a level you shared removed, or to report a level that should not be there, email its link to info@ludosquest.com. Please do not put personal information, such as your full name, address, phone number or email, in a level's name.
When you open a level link in the app, the app downloads that level from ludosquest.com. Like any website, our server sees the request, but we do not link it to you.
Ludo's Quest is made for players of all ages. Because the app collects nothing, no personal information is collected from children. A shared level can be seen by anyone with its link, so children should share levels only with a parent's or guardian's permission, and never put personal information in a level's name.
The ludosquest.com website uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies to count visits and see how pages are used. We use this only to improve the site and do not link it to any personal information. You can opt out with your browser settings or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. When you pick a language on the website, a cookie remembers it.
The web version of the game keeps your progress and the levels you build in your browser's storage. It does not send your levels to our server: sharing levels is done from the app.
Earlier versions of the game let players publish levels to this website with an author name. Those levels and names remain stored on our server and may still appear in older versions of the game. Contact us to have one removed.
